Hi, I’m Zach.

I’m a Senior Software Engineer with over a decade of experience building and modernizing web applications and the APIs and data pipelines behind them.

I love learning new skills, using those skills to solve problems, and sharing what I’ve learned with others. I especially enjoy explaining complex technical concepts in a way that is easy to understand and watching non-engineers gain a better understanding of the technologies they interact with every day.

I didn’t go to school for computer science; I learned everything I know about software engineering through on-the-job experience, late nights of self-study and trial-and-error, and asking for help when I needed it. Because of this, I don’t shy away from admitting when I don’t know something, and I’m not afraid to learn a new tool or language when it’s the right fit for the task at hand.
